Dual front-facing speakers! I know there's room.

LG has that option in many devices.
The convenient thing is on the s6, I can securely lock the device and when I need it, I can unlock the phone as I am pulling it out of my pocket by simply holding on the home button.

^^^I was wondering whether anyone would mention the basic things such as those. A 1080p display would still be good at 5.5"....it would ease the load on the processor and battery....and with a 3500mAh battery would improve on what is already an impressive battery life.
Again, there doesn't seem to be any obvious reason that we should not be offered the option of a thicker back with an extended battery in it. Not all users want thin phones.

I think I this day an age we should be able to get a 4k battery in the G4. That would only need the battery 33 percent bigger and the 3k battery from the G3 wasn't that big to start with. I think that the manufacturers are missing a big selling point with this. I bet if they made the G4 with a non removable 4k battery it would be the same size as it is now and the people who like removable batteries (ME) would be happy with it.

I can't speak for everyone... But I don't care if they make a 5k battery the same size... I want it removable and this phone is perfectly fine with them... The higher resolution screen isn't killing it as those who have them have already said. Being able to remove the back on this phone has brought us the opportunity to have the leather options as well as the removable SD card and that too isn't something that I am willing to part with. If you prefer it like a iPhone or s6 then buy one of those....and be happy but don't say that all those who want them will ever be happy without them...

Wow. He can speak for me, a 5k battery, I'd be all over that!
I know lots of folks love swappable batteries though, so I won't say anything about how many people would prefer this.
I wouldn't compare a phone with a sealed 4000+ battery to an iPhone or S6. just cause the back isn't removable.
I get your point, and you did say you "can't speak for everyone" so I'm not barking at you. Personally I'd prefer a sealed 4k battery to a removable 3k. Is love a removable 4k, but that doesn't seem to be the direction we're heading unfortunately.
I think one thing we can all agree on is that we want bigger batteries. The "energy efficient" marketing pitch is nauseating and I'm not buying it.

Can't we have both?
I mean, I'm getting great battery life with a tiny battery on my S6. Double the battery size and a power user could use it for 2 days. The same could be said for the G4. Add some power saving hardware and a larger battery and you can have 2 day use.

exactly, that's what I don't get. I'm not insinuating the energy efficiency is bogus, but to your point, look at what the S6 is getting out of that battery. with that processor and display, it's amazing.
but yeah, combine the two and we'd easily go all day, wouldn't even need quick charge.
trends come and go, hopefully we'll get out of this thin race and into battery life sooner than later.

Batteries fail... It doesn't matter what device they are in and I used the iPhone /s6 comparison because both have had their own issues in this and I can think of several removable batteries that didn't hold up as well for me as long as they should have.
I know that I am not alone in preferring a removable battery. I have had to have 1 m8 replaced already and do not want to go through this again. I am a realist and know that being able to swap out a battery gives me options having a sealed back on a phone doesn't, and allows me to not have to either waste time sending in a phone or cost me additional money. It's a convenience, but a very useful convenience, not to mention without it we loose a very good option of having replaceable backs. In today's flagship phones this is setting the LG g4 apart from most all of the rest. You may never need to swap out the battery... And that is great for you if you haven't but this feature has saved me having to go through the hassle.
As to the s6... Look up the latest recommendations from consumer reports on it

My original point was that I want great battery life. I don't necessarily need it to be removable. I pointed out it was my opinion by putting me in quotes. I believe that it is what most people want. I did not say all. I am glad that LG is putting in a removable battery because of the 3k battery. I also prefer removable but if the difference is bigger size and removable or not bigger size and non removable (with bigger battery) I would choose the non removable. Just my opinion never tried to speak for everybody.

Anyone fancy a stereoscopic camera? The ideal lens separation for general photography has usually been about the average interocular distance of 65mm in such cameras in the past. There would be room for that in the G4 held horizontally, or room for a shorter separation, suitable for closer subjects, if held vertically....internal space permitting.
