Desktop WhatsApp keeps disconnecting from WhatsApp on my Mate 20 Pro

Hi,
I've recently started using a Mate 20 Pro, I've managed to sort out all the notification issues (I think), but I've found that my desktop version of WhatsApp keeps disconnecting from the internet/my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do to my Android app to stop this from happening, please? I had no problems when I was using a Xaomi Mi 5s.

No, I find using forums to be much easier whilst on a laptop!

I am using WhatsApp on my mobile and my desktop, but on my desktop, it often disconnects, so I assume that my mobile is switching the app off.

Are you using WhatsApp on a Windows or Mac laptop? Or are you connecting to the phone and using the phone's WhatsApp app? (As far as I know, you can have only 1 app on an account connected at once - so if you have the mobile's WhatsApp running, and you run it from the laptop, there's a problem.)

(And I agree with you as far as running anything more than short texts or phone calls [or the timer, or other simple apps] on a real computer [I prefer my desktop, and plug a keyboard and mouse into my laptop if I have to use it].)
