Detailed battery widgets and such

you see im not really that excited to root,im missing out on alot of features but I hear too many ppl complaining that they cant root back or things get funky afterwards and what not not sure i want to become part of that group.

Rooting via gingerbreak is easy and you can unroot via the same app.

You use CWM to create a backup before doing anything, so worst case you restore to exactly how you had it before running any mods. Actually quite easy and fool proof for even beginners.

Use this link, it is for completely stock but adds the % in increments of 1 in the stock location.

i rooted already got superuser and gingerbreak on my device, does that mean i can sideload already?

Gladenable, search XDA for instructions on how to run that. Or choose a ROM that includes sideloading built in. Also, don't forget to to create a backup through CWM.

Sorry about the delay.......OK, if you flash a SBF you are completely wiping the phone, all info, apps, settings, etc. No biggie if you have the time, but think of a CWM backup as your personalized SBF. It creates a complete system copy of how your system is at that current time, all settings, apps, etc. So if you flash a theme or ROM or somehow jack something up, instead of flashing a SBF, you can flash your backup and be back in business with all of your settings.

Because of the locked bootloader, your backup(refered to as a nandroid backup) is achieved via this link:

[SCRIPT] GladEnabler v1.05 (All Rooted Phones Supported-Updated 05/12/2011) - xda-developers

Search around that forum, lots of good info...
