Developer Mode Default Settings?

Hi,

So I've used the Developer Mode many times in the past but haven't used it probably for about 2 years. Yesterday I enabled the Developer Mode on my new Nexus 6P, and I think when I first went in, there where some things turned on by default (not 100% sure if they where really on or I accidentally taped them on) but then I turned the main on/off toggle on the top off and then on again and noticed this would reset everything to the off position.

So my question is, does anyone know if when the menu option is hidden the default value for all those Developer Mode Options is off? Or are there some options that are on by default?
In other words, is turning the main Developer Options screen on/off toggle off the same thing as having it hidden? (apart from the fact the the menu option is visible in Settings of course)

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

Hi Lunático, yes your question makes perfect sense :) and actually, it's a good question. My first guess was that after you toggle the developer options off the changes you made won't apply, but had to run a quick test to be sure. I enabled the "show touches" option and the visual feedback stopped after I switched the main toggle off. The individual option is still there greyed out and it works back as soon as the main toggle is on again.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I noticed that myself. What I'd really like to know is if when the Developer Mode menu is disabled all the option in it are also disabled or if there's some of them enabled by default. The only way for me to figure this out is by doing a factory reset and then enabling it again to see if anything is enabled by default.

You don't need to go so far as a factory reset. Someone with the same phone and that didn't change any of the options will help you posting a couple of screenshots here. Unfortunately this is not my case :) Let me ask around.
