My Outlook updated and now it is requiring me to Activate Device Administrator. I did that and every time I would have to get in my phone it required a password.
I got that taken off but now I cannot even use Outlook unless I activate it.
How can I NOT have to activate this to use Outlook?

Are you using Outlook for work email? That security requirement may be company policy for enabling company email on the device.

Yes, I am but it has never done this before Outlook updated yesterday.
I don't mind entering a password for Outlook, but it makes me enter the password to even open my phone screen

Were there any release notes for the update? It's also possible the company is updating policies for the new year and is now requiring the security. The company I work for enforces lockscreen security for devices connected to company resources (not that I wouldn't use security anyway).

I just checked the 'Whats New' for the update. It just says I can now add Evites and other event attachments.

Is there anyway to just have the password set for Outlook and not the entire phone?

Anyone else at your work having to deal with this too?

Are you required to use specifically Outlook for your email app? Or can you use any email app if you wanted?
