Device assistant app that is able to open search results on default browser

Back when I used firefox (the android app is awful and I since switched to Kiwi), there was an option to set my device assistance app to firefox. This way any time I hold the home button it would search using the firefox browser based off of speech. Since I only use device assistance to look up something real quick, I was wondering if there was a way to do this on any browser.
