Have you recently updated your OS? I recently updated to 11 from 10 and the first few times I used Dex my physical keyboard would stop working. A few restarts seem to have resolved that issue.

Nope. Last update I had for my phone was a few weeks ago and I've used Dex probably a half dozen times without issue (until yesterday) since then.
