Hi there. I have a Pixel 3a xl which had a rear camera failure. I got a new camera for it and followed ifixit and other directions for replacing it. After reassembly, it worked and I was delighted, but the next morning, it didn't and I was bummed

The screen is black, I can't tell if the phone turns on or charges or anything at all. I've taken it apart again to check all connections and can't see anything wrong. I've done a number of screen repairs and battery replacements and stuff on other devices, so I feel reasonably capable of the mechanical aspect, but it doesn't work and I've no idea what is wrong.
I hope someone might be willing and able to explain what the problem might be and how I might be able to do the differential diagnosis without being able to use the screen. Is it the battery suddenly? Did I somehow damage the screen OLED? Are the 15 silver + black 2 screws different in some non-visible way that affects capacitance?
