Dialer Hanging Force Closes

I've been getting this recently. I just reflash over this and things are good for awhile, for awhile. Anybody knows what causes this?

This sir I have no clue. I never got this. Is it after or during a call. Maybe its that leak causing issues. People talking about it on other boards.

I hope not, I sent Fab a twit with the same pic, hoping for a response. I did a backup of the Dialer and data. If it pops up again I'll try to restore and see if that helps instead of flashing the rom again. (sucks)

The first time it happened I was trying to impress a friend with the voice commands and it crashed....that was embarrassing.

Then this 2nd time (a week later) I noticed it when I wanted to make a regular call.

It's working now, just would suck if it hung again when I really NEED to make a call.

So I just saw something on Jrummys new Rom, Rumm Rx v1.0. Way at the bottom of the feature description (where the KNOWN BUGS are described) reads, "Changing LCD
Density may cause the dialer to force close"

I'm thinking this might be my problem with Apex and my dialer force closing here. (Both Roms run off the 2.3.32 version)

It's running good now but I'm tempted to see if I can recreate the force closing by switching my LCD Density again to 230.

Hey I am/was having the same problem. Every time I would launch the default Phone app on my Droid X it would attempt to open, crash, then take me back to my Home screen. Downloaded Dialer One which works perfectly. However, I have not been able to make Dialer One my default phone app so I wanted to find out the solution to this. I also just re-flashed my phone with the new .sbf (gift2) and my phone is running GREAT except for this stock phone app issue. I read above that changing LCD Density may cause phone app to crash. Sure enough I have LCD Density changed to 175. Changing this back to 240 resolved the phone app crashing problem!

So, for whatever reason, the LCD Density being changed to 175 causes the stock phone app to crash...at least on my Droid X.

Going to write developer.

Anyone else having this problem and/or have a fix?

I have a Droid X and I'm using Apex 1.4.1 and having the same issue with the dialer... The only way the phone will work is if I use a number from the web, otherwise other numbers from contacts and manual input close and take me back to home screen... I have checked that I have 240 on the LCD density.. What else can I do?
