Haven't read about an update coming for the Rezound, but my phone just did a software update. Anyone have info on this?

If you provide a screenshot proving it is Jelly Bean, I will take back almost everything bad I ever said about Verizon.

I'm pretty sure all you're four-lettered words directed at Verizon will stand fast.

This is a letter I just now emailed to Verizon...

Increasingly, I see Verizon Wireless as a nuisance; a hindrance to progress. By interfering with Android software updates, Verizon Wireless forces consumers to live at Verizon?s slow pace, not the pace of technological innovation. Verizon, you are old and slow and worst of all -- impeding progress!

My requirements have changed -- I no longer want to accept carrier interference with smartphone software updates. I want UNLIMITED data. I do not want contracts. I want the option to bring my own phone and tablet, not Verizon-controlled devices. Basically, T-Mobile understands today?s consumer better than Verizon management does. As soon as T-Mobile fires up LTE here in Orange County, I will leave if Verizon hasn?t adjusted its strategy.

When I leave Verizon, I will be taking all 3 lines with me -- early termination fee or not.

The truth is that I want all wireless carriers to get out of the phone business entirely. Carriers should provide only wireless NETWORK capability. We, as consumers, should be able to bring our own devices onto the wireless network -- just like we do with computers.

Cable Internet providers don't tell us what PC's to buy, nor should wireless carriers tell us what hardware we can buy, how often we can update it or how we can use it.
