did anyone factory reset after 4.4.3?

Occasionally I like to reset my phones and start all over. I often do this after a software update and having had 4.4.3 for a few weeks I'm wondering whether to do this now.

Just wondered, has anyone done this? Did u notice any changes? Faster, better battery life? I've customised my m8 quite a bit so if I won't gain anything then I might just leave well alone. I don't have any specific problems but a bit of keyboard lag and occasional animation lags in general which I never had when new.

After I updated to 4.4.3 all the main issues I had disappeared and I didn't have to reset my phone or anything. Mines is an Unlocked version bought here in the UK I noticed instant improvements in Hangouts / Swiftkey when typing.

Factory reset isn't necessary unless you're facing some significant problems. Instead, you could wipe the system cache partition, which is less drastic, and preserves your personal data: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...ow-reboot-into-stock-recovery-htc-one-m8.html

Interesting thanks. I'll try the cache option. I normally wipe it and then do a factory reset (not sure why) but have never just wiped cache. Swiftkey is very laggy on mine even after the update. In fact on all keyboards the animations lag behind my keyoresses somewhat annoyingly

Tried it. Can't say its made any difference! Do people speed up animations under developer options or just leave as standard? Can't believe this phone is so fast yet the keyboard lags behind!

Maybe one rainy day I'll try a master reset to see if that helps
