Did I break it? Proximity sensor issue...

I've been playing with tasker a lot, messing with proximity sensor triggers. One of the things I had it trigger was to turn off the display and lock the phone. I was trying to find a way to get around active notifications acting do much, the other was to just drop the phone in my pocket and not worry about it.
Anyway, I disabled all of the tasker stuff, uninstalled it, deleted left over fills, and it's still turning the screen off whenever I cover the sensor. I just wiped cache and it's still doing it.

That's not how it's supposed to be is it? I can't hold the top of the phone to pay anything in landscape.

Maybe try cleaning the cache and a restart. Maybe something is hanging it up.

I cleaned the cache, and it took a while, but I'm not sure it actually cleared anything

Unless someone comes up with a better idea I think you may have a FDR in your future for the phone .

Thanx, kinda what I figured. Especially since I uninstalled, and it's still doing it. At least I'm less than 2 weeks in and don't have much to lose
