Last sentence in this article regarding the Exynos update to fix the screen issue; it states: "Supposedly, this isn't Samsung's promised massive performance-fixing update either."

Has anyone heard about a promised massive performance -fixing update coming from Samsung?

Just a bit curious; not that I feel one is needed.

I heard the screen issue nothing about massive performance update and I believe that was Exynos chip

I wouldn't bank much on updates, they will every month push security updates which will include bug fixes etc. Nothing has ever drastically changed my experience from launch to few months later on all the phones I have owned till now. Sure there will be improvements but if you are not happy with it now then hard to see that changing down the line. Every year just hype, oh HUGE performance update, battery update, camera update and what not coming soon

I know there will strong disagreement with this but that's my experience. Yes there are exceptions here and there like everything but there's my general sentient about future updates.

PS: I'm also enjoying my S22 Ultra and no issues here.

Well I think it was said back in a video I saw when the S20U came out with the camera issue someone said (paraphasing) don't put your hopes up on a sw update to fix things even when promised at the time you buy your phone.

I think in that case they never did make it work perfectly and keeping an eye on the issue determined this was not for me and whatever sw updates they were pushing (and it seems they were pushing updates weekly in the beginning) that they couldn't really work around what was really needed to fix is and passed on the S20U and waited/got the N20U with the camera changes.

Saw them avoid replacing pink screens on the S8 by pushing sw update that gave your slide bar adjustment for RGB settings. People push that red all the way that slide to "fix" it... eh ... no thanks, I went with the Note 8.

Will be interesting to see what they do with the Exynos video issue. Hopefully it a sw update can fix.

I don't disagree at all. You're 100% right in fact.
