did something happend after removing some black things in s8 earphones when cleaning them

i was clearing the s8 headphones and after removing those grey wires i found something black like piece of paper removed them and it seems like now ihave more sound but idk if the bass is lowered help.

I would put the black paper like material back to see if that fixes your problem.

I believe that is just to help keep dirt out and also help reduce sibilance. Has no effect on bass.
