Hi - I'm still using the original DINC, love the phone. Was getting ready to pull the trigger on the Rezound, especially with the new Mugen slim extended battery coming out soon.
Then BOOM.....the dreaded OTA. I remember when they first rolled out Froyo on the DINC, the phone was &*^% for 2-3 months until they finally came out with a fix. And neither Verizon or HTC would even admit there was a problem, so you didn't know a fix was coming until it showed up on your phone. Very frustrating.
Sounds like they did the same with the Rezound. Take a perfectly good phone and turn it to crap in an instant. And they don't even give you a choice whether to take the update. Unbelievable.
Is it still worth pulling the trigger on this phone? It sounds like there is a way to stop the "Verizon Location Agent" by downloading an update from the market but will that always work? It also sounds like the OTA messed up other things as well. Why oh why does Verizon keep pulling this crap? Have they never heard of "quality control"?
