Did they ever fix the WA2?

Hey guys,

I had a WA2 about a year ago when I went to the S20 Ultra, but coming from an iPhone with Apple watch, I couldn't bear the terrible heart rate sensor. It was an absolute joke. And I use mine for everything fitness related.

Now the S21 Ultra has me tempted and Samsung are basically giving away the WA2 with it which has me wondering if it was ever fixed? It's a red line for me (yeah, I know there are better alternatives but they're not being provided free.)

Not a fan of the Watch 3 - too bulky for me.

sometimes my watch is spot on or close to my pulse oximeter and sometimes is a ways off. sometimes it matches the elliptical at the gym and other times it says 110 or 120 when yet the elliptical would say 140 or 150. I did change some settings in the settings menu in the power saver settings to make it work better but sometimes it isn't perfect and sometimes it misses half my workout and the heart rate symbol stays greyed out as it looses getting a reading. SO it is frustrating at times. Not acceptable for a $200+ watch. and yet samsung does away with the perfectly reliable heart rate sensor on the galaxy phones.

The Apple Watch is superior in every way. Had to go back to one with an old iPhone 7 as I needed reliability

I respectfully disagree. I have a Watch5 and a Watch3, if I don't select Outdoor Walk when I'm walking they NEVER record the active time. I once did a 30 min walk and was only credited with 6 minutes of active time. Whereas, my GWA,GWA2, and GW3 autocapture the workout AND the correct time spent. IJS...

I was considering the same thing. I had a Note 20 with the GWA2 and even tried the Fitbit Sense. Eventually got frustrated with the inaccuracy and crawled back to Apple. Now I am looking at trying to go back to Android. The AW frustrates me like last time. When exercising, sometimes it gives me credit for my workout. Other times it does not. Sometimes the heart rate is not accurate and other times it is spot on. Sounds a lot like the GWA2 and its heart rate sensor issues and unfortunately, it sounds like it still exists. I follow DesFit on YouTube with his analysis along with DC Rainmaker. I sure wish that Samsung would invest more time and energy into their Wearables.
