The v30 supports it with the same screen so i would have to imagine the pixel xl at least will.

I was going to make a thread about this because it is weird that Google mentioned nothing about it. Since the unveiling, I’ve done a bit of research trying to find an answer to no avail. As someone who absorbs a lot of Netflix, Hulu and Youtube content on my phone, this would be a huge disappointment if support for HDR10 was omitted especially with those glorious front facing speakers.

I haven't heard anything either way.


It's not something that matters at all to me though on a small screen like this. I would care about it on a TV, maybe on a tablet. But on a screen this small, I don't care either way. I guess if you are a user who watches movies all the time on your phone, then it might be an important feature.
