Many Sprint customers are aware of CDMA phones limitations. Yep, we can't surf the web while on a call.(That sucks) However, with now 4G connection we are able to surf and talk at the same time.(Yay) Now, I know how it feels to have a GSM phone.

It also works with wifi. I use wifi whenever I can because I HATE 4G. Using 4G while I'm on the phone, murders my battery life.

Yes, being able to do those types of things are known features of 4G service.

Wow, I did not know that. That's awesome! I knew I could do it with WiFi, but not 4G. Thank you!

Wifi + phone might be a little easier on the battery than 4G + phone but either way you are using two radios at the same time so your battery is going to take a big hit no matter what.

Yes. But there's no 4G where I am. Doesn't matter anyway I guess, since I talk on the phone maybe twice a week.

LOL! I hate to talk on the phone and try to do it even less than that.

Yeah, twice is a busy phone week for me. I fricking HATE that when a phone call comes in on this thing it takes the whole screen and basically demands you deal with it. I really miss how on the pre a phone call could ring through and not totally disrupt what I was doing. I get super pissed when someone calls me, because I'm usually doing something on my phone, and their call messes it al up.

My friends text me and ask if they can call now. Then I usually just text back and ask what they want. LOL

Texting is so much easier.

I did telemarketing for many years, when I was younger and just got sick of phones.

I even block all numbers that aren't in my contacts.

Ha, yeah a job like that would do it. I did some telemarketing too, but that wasn't what did it. I just only like to do it in complete privacy, and I feel like someone outside could hear, or someone might come into the room or something. I don't even like to order a pizza if someone's around. And it's not like I've got anything to hide. I'm just sketchy like that I guess. Even when I was much younger, I'd whisper on the phone if I thought someone was around. LOL

Why would i ever need to talk and surf the web at the same time? I is confused, what am i going to do put it on speaker and watch some youtube?

I never got the big deal with talking / surfing.

igotsanevo, I used to be with you... but...

With what I do, I always get calls from a parent that needs specific directions to a site from a unique place. I can look up directions and stay on call.

I once had to call 911 to get responders out to an accident I happened upon in the middle of nowhere. They couldn't triangulate my call, and I had no idea of the cross-streets, and it was too dark for landmarks.

The ability to tether and call is important to a counselor who may get calls when on the go.

When you think about it, there are a few times it can be useful. Definitely not a deal-breaker for most.

Yes, I knew about this before I got the phone.

Sometimes you're talking about something on the phone, and may want to Google the information right then... has happened to me twice since getting the Evo. Prior to that, I don't know how many times it's happened, as I had to have been home so I could look info up from my computer.

Since I always use my Bluetooth headset to talk on the phone, it's not much of an issue to press the "Home" key and look up whatever information I need, while maintaining the conversation.

It's awesome - You should try it and see it for yourself. Sometimes I'll be on here and get a call I know this call is going to last a long time, I'm on the forum doing my thing - so, I just turn speaker phone on and chat while I'm still helping others. How awesome is that. Lol.
