Did you wish the s8 had a flat screen?

Come on, be truthful and not biased. Did you think it would've been better with a flat glass screen, usability wise? This is the first year Samsung didn't offer a flat screen. As phones get curvier, I start to miss the good old flat glass, to me it looks nice (saw a regular S7 recently and it looked great). I think Samsung DID make a flat glass screen S8 but trashed it because it didn't look good.

No thanks. This is what makes the S8 and S7/S6 Edge so different. I love it.

The only reason I want a flat screen is because of how hard it is to find a perfect tempered glass or screen protector for a curved screen.

Being honest? I am fine either way. I am fine with my S8+ and when I used the G6 I was fine with that screen.

I would prefer it if images and text were not so distorted around the curved edges. That looks ugly, IMO. Flat glass would not have these problems. Not sure how to get a sleek edge to the phone without curved glass though. Maybe 2.5D would be better, I don't know.

I prefer flat but a slight curve is ok, especially if the Note 8 is even a tad wider. Would make a difference for me

Flat screen.. Yes please. Last year I had the s7 edge and later on I got the regular s7 with flat screen. I loved that phone way more than the edge. I only missed the bigger battery. Had the s8 Plus and now got the regular s8 so kinda bummed they never offered the flat screen this year or I'd have chosen that by default

Why did you go from 8+ to 8?

I went from s8 Plus to LG G6. Then around a month later I saw a friend at work with the regular s8 and had a little play with it and it felt much better in the hand than the s8 Plus did but still felt like a big phone which I usually go for. Also I felt the finger print sensor was much easier to reach. No regrets and I think the battery has been very close to the s8 Plus too.

I would rather have a flat screen because it's easier to find screen protectors for it. I had to learn how to deal with a curved screen because it was so new to but now that I'm used to it, I couldn't care less what way they go with the screen. Flat or curved is fine for me.

Re: finding screen protectors... My main reason for preferring flat as well. The screen is beautiful, though. That's why I was so happy to find a TGSP that worked for me.

If I have to choose one I would go for flat but the curved doesn't bother me but preference is flat.

Flat screen with 2.5D curves. There is something about the curved edges that makes the whole usage feel more premium. I had the Nokia Lumia 920 and that phone spoilt me lol.
