Did your box come with Headphones?

While opening the V20 box and taking everything out..something didn't feel right. I could place my finger on it but it just now dawned on me and I couldn't find a thread about it: Did your V20 come with headphones? I went and rechecked my box, mine didn't. Did they not include any because of the free headphone promotion? I find that shady...removing an accessory so you can promote it as "free".

re:

I don't think they removed anything. I believe the B&O headphones was a promotion for pre-orders and early buyers. When supplies ran out that was it. SOME phones come with some do not, SOME leave it up to the carrier. Looks like LG came without except for this promo. :)

You don't get the standard, cheap headphones in the box this time.

The ones you get from LG through their promotion are of much better quality than the free ones. I believe they retail for about $150. The ones they usually included with the phone in the past were probably a $5 set. To be honest though, I would have rather had the cheap headphones and a promo for a battery + charger and memory card like LG has offered in the past. But hey, just sell the headphones and use the money to buy them =)

I'm looking forward to my headphones. After reading they weren't going to be made available with the American release of the V20, I was glad to be able to redeem for them.

Not a single retail unit will come with headphones in the box. The pre production units did. You have to submit the request on the LG V20 webpage, its like a rebate offering, and you will receive them in 4 to 6 weeks..

Personally I haven't used the headphones with my phones in years. Blue tooth everything or aux cord. But I do plan on ordering the B&O headphones with the promotion heck yeh.

So this is essentially the equivalent of LG offering a free battery promotion and then not including a battery in the box with the phone. I don't understand how they can offer free headphones (I understand they are of higher quality than stock ones) and then remove the stock headphones from the box. Well, I can understand it, I just don't agree with the logic.

I don't recall headphones with my G3, G4, V10 or GF's G5 so LG didn't just take them out.

They didn't include their extra batteries/cradles in the boxes.. We had to register for the promotion. They haven't given free headphones for as long as I can remember.

I didn't realize this was the case. I've owned LG's in the past but have also owned dozens of others, so the memories of phones coming with stock headphones must have just merged in my head for all phones. Kind of odd LG refuses to include headphones with their phones when Samsung and Apple (and others) do, no?

I see virtually no value in a pair of cheap (cost and quality) headphones being included with the phone.

I'll PM you my home address so you can send me all of yours moving forward (if you happen to buy a non-LG phone in the future). I find high value in them, as I can use them at work or at school and not have to worry about them being stolen or misplaced. I use high-quality headphones while traveling, otherwise I stick to stock earbuds. Then again, you may be an audiophile (evidently, I am not).

It's an American thing
Carriers remove the free headphones

My G4 came with quadbeat 3 headphones, which while cheap, are actually really good quality.
My G5 came with some headphones too, but i'm still using the quadbeat 3 ones from the G4

Never got headphones with any of my LG phones. Of all the brands I've bought in the past few years, only Samsung and Apple have included headphones. Not a fan of the Samsung earbuds, but the Apple ones were decent. I still use them at the office

I got my V20 the other day from NCIX Canada, and I got these B&0 headphones with it. Are these the same ones you guys got with the promotion?
