I'm non-rooted and totally stock. I heard about some people getting north of 4 hrs of SOT but I thought it was a myth.

I'm also very surprised with my Nexus 5 battery life so far. A lot better then my Nexus 4 was. I'm very happy I picked up a Nexus 5 for my next phone. Can't wait for lollipop.

Idk how you were able to get that much screen on time... On my best day I get 4 hours tops

Mine was terrible, and the cell reception was just BAD. I got rid of it, went back to Moto X.

Sprint, AT&T and T Mobile. It sucked on all three.

Oh believe me, I know and agree. I am on Tmobile and the Nexus 5 cannot hold signal for its life.

Moto X does much better on Tmobile with signal? I'm still considering it as my next and want to be thorough with my research first.

Moto X holds it down on T Mobile and AT&T. The Nexus 5 is straight garbage on battery life and signal

I love the Nexus 5, but the battery life is pretty low. Considerably lower than my previous phone, an EVO LTE.

I love vanilla android. This LG made nexus 5 is so bad, I am never buying an LG device. My phone and my wife's phone, plus the Nexus 5 i returned, all have horrible battery and horrible cell reception.

No thanks. I do get decent battery with my Moto X (2013). I used to get 3.5 hours of screen time, but I get 3 now, and I work in a big led box at work, so my signal is poor.

Before that, the Nexus 5 gpt bad reception at home (I live in Michigan), and in Las Vegas, and in all the suburbs in my home town.

I don't have an issue with the battery.. Most days I take it off the charger at 6:30 in the morning and don't charge it until I go to bed, usually round 10-11 at night and still has somewhere round 20-30% charge left on it.. Actually have 36% left on the charge as I write this at 10:31 at night.. It is by far the best battery I've had in a smartphone to date, coming from an HTC rezound before, and the HTC droid eris before that, both having to be charged multiple times during the day, even with buying extra and extended batteries..

i have to say that i am also surprised by the battery life that i get with my nexus 5. before i bought it (the day nexus 6 was announced) every one complained about the battery. nearly every review mentioned it! honestly it didn't bother me too much because i really don't mind having to charge it every day if need be!

i got about 37 hours from 100 to 0% and just over 5 hrs of that was SoT. (maybe about 5hr and 10 or 20 mins). so that left about 1 day 8 hours of stand by time. right now i'm only on my second charge and i have:

46% left
total time: 2 days 12 hours 35 minutes
SoT: 1 hr 37 mins
stand by: 2 days 10 hours 58 minutes
