die lg voice mate die die DIE ahhh!!!!!

All you had to do is this:

Settings > apps > scroll to all > find voice command > clear cache and data > tap disable > find Voice mate > clear cache and data > tap disable

This disables both apps to never be heard from again. :)

Not sure what you are seeing, but it won't let you disable Voice Mate. I am on AT&T 5.0.1 How exactly did you disable it when it won't let you select it?

I've had the same problem.... Driving me crazy. This solutions seems to have worked!! Thanks so much! No more of that maddening tell tale " ding-ding" sound interrupting my audiobooks.

Yeah, it's pretty terrible. I have tried about every fix I read in this thread, along with several others. The only thing I have not done is root the phone, and I refuse to do that. Nothing has worked for me, and it truly does drive one insane. I have been at this for hours trying to fix it, but nope. I emailed LG in hopes of a half decent response, but who knows. -_-

In the past I was able to disable Voice Mate and Voice Mate Engine. I was sure the problem was gone but it's recently emerged again. I've been dealing with this for a good 6 months or more. Now the phone doesn't let me disable them. So I chose the option FORCE STOP and even that did not help. I wonder if I should try disabling Voice Command. I'm fairly sure I tried that already and lately none of these options is helping.

I play music on my phone for yoga classes that I teach in a business setting meaning my music has to sound professional. The problem is that anytime I need to pick up the phone if I want to change songs or something the little dinger sounds and that stupid page opens that asks me what I would like to do?
If I am quick enough I just exit the page and go back to my music and luckily my audience doesn't notice the slight lag. This only happens when I connect to a sound system using the audio cable - blue tooth is not affected. It seems that when I move the phone even slightly the cable connection is jarred at the jack and that's what sets off the voice mate. I am using LG G3. The reason they are not fixing the problem is I believe it's a hardware problem although I could be wrong. I imagine they resolved it in the G4.

Oops I just went back and read my previous post from Jan 22 - - God that was 7 months ago! OK so I've already tried the option of disabling the Voice Command and it seems to have fixed the problem in the past but now I am leary. So I just disabled it again and will see how it works tonight at my evening yoga class.

I have the SAME Problem. I want it to die. I've tried the whole "disable" it in the settings thing. I've uninstalled it. I've turned off notifications from all apps - which means it interrupts but at least the voice doesn't come out asking if it can help me.

How did you find the voice mate app to freeze it? I have the same problem. I rooted my phone and have an app to freeze voice mate installed, but I can't find voice mate anywhere to freeze it. Then it still pops up when I plug in speakers or headphones.

Guys i might have just resolved this.

Go to your Google Settings app (if you can't find it, it may be hidden in the google apps folder)

- go down to "search & now"
- click voice
- select "Hands-free" and uncheck the "For Bluetooth Devices" and "For wired headsets"
- I also switched the speech output selection below it

I just did this and i am not 100% sure this fixes the problem i'm just hoping it does lol.

I HATE VOICEMATE!!!!:confused::confused::confused:
