Difference between 1and 2

I'm on a budget and whould like to know if there is a big reason to buy the tab 2 over the 1 ?

i just compared them on GSMarena and it looks like the original tab has more features such as a nicer secondary camera, more features on said camera, gorilla glass, and other things like that. unfortunately it's not upgradable to ICS, so that's a deal killer for me, but those other features (or lack thereof) is confusing to me...why would they dumb it down on a newer model?
