Difference in Google messages app

[Android Central Question]

Hello,
Me and my friend have huawei mate 20 pro with the same operation system and emui. On both phones we have latest versions of Google Messages app but on my app can't recognize numbers in messages and can't click on them. My friend don't have this problem. His app recognize them and when clicks on them there pop up several options. I check the settings on both apps they are the same. Any ideas why is that?

Uninstall the app. Clear the cache partition and reboot. Reinstall the Google Messenger app. Check your settings for opening links in messages.

I can't uninstall the app because is built in. I can only to remove the updates. I do that, reboot, update again but without any success

Go to Settings>Apps, select Messages, then Permissions. Is Phone permission turned on?
