The V10 will not offer anything over the V10. They're basically the same phone.

But you may want to consider the V20. You'll get two rear-facing lenses, one of them wide-angle. The V20 is also less bulky and much lighter than the V10 and has a metal body. Those are the differences that jumped out at me.

A big difference is the snapdragon 808 processor on the V10 and the snapdragon 820 on the V20. Hopefully the 820 will improve the battery life and fix the boot loops common on the V10 (or at least common enough to get mentioned quite a bit on here).

I see what you did there but I have to disagree. I prefer the v10 to the v10.
If you watch this video, the commenter reckons that the v20 looks nothing like the v20, which is interesting.

I thought the bootloop was mainly due to the mobo in the device?

I wonder if they plan to make available a wireless Qi charge case-back option for the V20. (like they did for the V10) It would have to be plastic though. I think if they could make it rubberized and high grip traction that that would be a great addition.

It is a solid design I agree. It may not be as good as the V10 or as flashy & fragile, like the ones Samsung & Apple produce but its well built and is an all metal design with a removable back which is something we haven't seen in a while.

Johnston212's problem is that the volume rocker is now on the side of the phone and not on the back like the V10 had and some of the previous G series phone had.

Thats what I thought too... but none of the YT reviewers commented on that specifically. So I am kind of questioning it. Updated my commentary... I think you are right it is an ESS DAC.

Curious... so the V20 complies to MIL-STD-810G drop impact standard.

Josh drop tested it and the case back came off and the battery fell out. Doesn't the MIL spec have some sort of requirement that the item remain together and in one piece upon impact?

I know Wikipedia isn't the end all, be all of information, but sounds like there's different methods of drop testing, and true certification may not even be applicable to consumer products. It even goes so far as saying some consumer manufacturers only design products to theoretically meet the standards without any actual testing, official or otherwise.

The battery life is improved by about 200 I believe. I think the second screen is bigger? Or they fixed the bezels or something so it appears roomier... I dunno, maybe I misunderstood that part. But something is improved with the second screen.

The hardware is different than the V10, as well - apparently it's not as "rugged."
