Differences on Software version RUU vs. OTA

This is my build number and software number on the RUU that I installed last week:
3.21

My kerner version and baseband version are different too.

So my question is this: which is "official" and which should I be using? What's the difference between the two? Anything? or am I OCD'ing once again..............?

If it makes you feel any better, I was doing the comparison as well when I saw that image. There is always the chance that that is an old image that they just re-used.

Mine is running great with no force closes or anything. But then again I've only been off a blackberry for about 3 weeks now........Like leaving a Commodore 64 and going straight to Windows XP, 7, etc

I think I saw the hint ... the update.zip which is floating around is from 7/23. That makes it the earliest of the early leaked versions.

Nah, I used it this morning, Baseband 2.15.00.07.28, Kernel 2.6.32.15-gb7b01d1, Software and Build 3.21.
