Differences to November version

For those considering this watch based on what you saw or even owned in November, be aware of some possible differences.

It appears that either ATT is not listing all the specs, or some of the features may have disappeared from this version of the Urbane 2 LTE. We'll know by the end of this month.

  • Not listed: GPS, HR sensor on the underside
  • Newly listed shortly on the ATT product page, then disappeared: NFC
  • Newly listed (?): Noise cancellation audio, IR sensor

Other things that are or may be different:
  • Price: $360 now vs. $299 in November
  • Remains to be seen if this version is also SIM unlocked.

also just popped up on Verizon for $499! and on Kmart for $349. I think gonna wait it out before I buy one and find out the story on the specs and unlock-ability

At Kmart that doesn't appear to be the 2nd edition.

For anyone who has received their new watch, any updates on the differences between the old and new? GPS, NFC, etc...

Looking at Verizon's website it shows it has HR sensor and NFC capable but I dont see anything about GPS? Didn't mean it's not there, just not stated that I can see.

And any idea how full the battery is out of the box? Or does it support quick charging?

Should charge pretty quickly regardless. It's not a big battery. Shouldn't take more than an hour for full charge, like most smartwatches.

mine around the same, like 60% I think... but charges fast and left all night to charge... today I have been using it since 6:30 a.m. and it is 10:20 a.m. and it has 94% of battery!!!

Arqpsa, have you tried to see if it has standalone GPS yet?

has anyone tested to see if it is sim-unlocked or if WhatsApp works in standalone mode?

I have not tried the GPS yet... but I will later tonight... I have used to make some calls with my phone off and it worked perfect, made 3 calls one after the other with no trouble, watch was a little hot.my battery now is 58%.... and it has been 11 hours since I took it off the charger.

I just turned off my phone and went to contacts on my watch then whatsapp.. and it did not send the message, it says "try again later on your phone"
sucks, but you can send regular text messages and make calls... I can confirm that those 2 work perfect!

Can someone confirm that THIS version can make phone calls through a BT headset? (On the og version, it was speaker only.)

Thanks. I had the original one and took it back in the recall. Wish I hadn't because that is a great looking watch.

I just read the questions on ATT.com, and the social media managers say the watch is sim locked this time and that it can NOT be unlocked by ATT!

They also said that a rose (-gold?) Urbane 2 LTE with a brown band is coming. Either they are confused, or they just gave away some news unintentionally!

Hi Jay Jo-

Thank you for posting your question!

The LG Urbane Watch will be locked to the AT&T network and AT&T will not be able to unlock the device for international usage. Your best bet is to find an unlocked model from LG.

Thanks-

Hello Cmmelton2-

Thank you for posting your question!

Currently AT&T is only offering the LG watch Urbane 2nd edition in Black. Lg is offering the watch in Silver and Rose and no word if they will be offering any new colors in the future. I was only able to confirm that the bands offered are either black that comes with the Silver model or brown that comes with the Rose model.

Check out LG W200A Support: Manuals, Warranty & More | LG U.S.A for the user’s manual.

Hope this helps! -Spencer O AT&T Social Media Manager
