Hi,

I recently got my first Samsung Galaxy phone (s3) and I'm still trying to figure some things out to make it more accessible to me. What started out as a question re: calendars ended up as a question re: accounts:
For my peace of mind, I'd like to understand the differences between Samsung account and Google account, and setting default email accounts. Under "Samsung account," I see the options to sync calendar, sync contacts, sync Internet, sync s Memo. Under "Google account," I see similar options (sync calendar, sync contacts). What's the difference, or is there one (I'd set my Samsung account up with my gmail address)? Is there a way to make the Google account default so that the email, calendar, any notes, etc. are all Google (or do you have to adjust those settings by app)?
Re: email, I would keep the "email" account because technically, it makes sense. However, I've found that that email app doesn't sync properly with my Gmail (i.e. getting most recent messages), which is why I got the Gmail app. If I delete the "Email" account in order to make Gmail the default, does that remove all my phone's contacts, or just the "Email" contacts? Does that even matter, since technically "Email" has the same contacts as Gmail?

Thanks!
