Different sounds for different notifications

I just moved from the iPhone 3G to the HTC Aria. So far I really like the phone, but there are a few things I miss from my iPhone. I'm hoping to get some alternatives worked out that will make me happy. Here is one situation I hope you can help me with.

I would like to see how to get different notification sounds for different types of notifications. I would like to be able to set different tones for email, text message, eBay alert, and calendar reminder. It doesn't seem to be inherent to the phone or the Android OS. Is there an app I need maybe? I did some searching on the marketplace but didn't find anything relevant.

Well never mind. My co-worker who also got the Aria showed me how to do it. I was trying to control it from the widgets, rather than going to programs and hitting settings from there. I think I got all worked out now.

Each notification comes from it's own program. For instance, if you want to change how the notification sounds when getting a new email from your Gmail account just go into settings from the Gmail inbox label and change the setting. Same with text messages. Just go into settings from the main messages screen and change the setting! Most apps that give you a notification have a setting to change the sound.
