Digitizer replacement - Capacitive button tabs?

Hey all,
My precious EVO suffered a catastrophic fall a week ago in which the digitizer completely shattered. I replaced the digitizer, everything works perfectly and it looks great... except for one thing:

The capacitive buttons no longer light up. Upon further inspection I saw that the replacement digitizer did not come with the little plastic tabs that transfer the light from the LEDs.

I can confirm that the LEDs are in fact illuminated... I don't have adhesive for the digitizer at this point so it's just friction-fit.

Has anyone else had this problem? Although it's just a small inconvenience (button use is almost second nature to me at this point), I'd like to have a solution to this. Any help would be appreciated!

I've got a couple EVO 4gs and I broke two of the buttons on the first one... SIGH... Have you found any source of these? Do you think HTC might sell replacements? Or have you already tried that route? I expected the outfit that sold me the stack of Digitizers would include them but I suspect this digitizer is universal to more then one phone. *How does the phone work without them? Other then not being lit up?
