Dimming while watch a video on YouTube

Anyone else experiences this while watching a Youtube or other video? I saw this around 7 or 8 pm and not sure how to get around it. All of a sudden while watching a video, the screen will go dim and if you pinch the screen to activate the display, it goes bright and then dims once again.

I do have ambient mode on which I do like so that when I go outside with sunglasses, the screen compensates and is readable outdoors.

Check to make sure you have adaptive brightness turned off. That may be the cause.

It was on. Thanks. Sounds like there is a bug in the system, I guess if I need to increase the brightness I can do it from the control panel pull down

Yeah it was on. But don't you need that so when you go outdoors with sunglasses the screen brightens or is there a way to toggle the feature off and on without going into the settings menu to do it?

You don't particularly need it but it's a nice feature to have when going outside. But simply pull down the notification shade and next to the brightness slider you'll see the adaptive brightness toggle.
