I am getting tired of all these post saying my 2.2 upgraded is a failure, i want to rollback to 2.1. I would like the see the facts with % numbers. So i am creating a poll to let people rate there 2.2 experience. Please just rate your 2.2. experience. This is a generic school type of rating of install issues, froyo issues, or what ever.

10 out of 10 for me. I went the manual route and downloaded the upgrade.zip file. 20 minutes later I was up and running with no issues and have not had an issue since the upgrade.

The manual install I would give a good 9 out of 10. I used to do the installation upgrades for blackberry and while similar, it was a lot more painful. I would suggest that verizon think about more manual installs instead of torturing users with the ota.

I gave it a 10 out of 10. I am not sure about improved battery life but the phone is even faster than it was before and that was fast. I do wish I could permanently kill the apps that re open. Will have to root when some one figures it out.

Been very solid for me so far. I did vote minor issues though because my music or google listen doesn't keep where I paused last.

i was kinda scared to do manuel upate because knowing me i would kill my phone....but it went well. love the update, 9 out of 10. reason for that is the problem with the pandora app on how i have go back to the app and push play after a call while i'm on my commute. love the the flashlite app, no more hunting in the market for a legit app. web is quicker and flash rocks. also, like i've mention on an another thread seems to charge quicker when plug to the usb port on my work computer. phone seems to hold a better charge, so good i'm running live wallpaper, i'm using the nexus one. and those are my two cents

I gave it a some minor issues. Pandora doesn't play well with 2.2 yet, it shuts off anytime you get a call or are using navigation and the voice directions come on, instead of muting and then coming back on.

Just my 2 cents that I posted in another thread yesterday. Since I installed Froyo I have noticed that a number of annoying bugs seem to be squashed. Scrolling from screen to screen is much faster and smoother than before, and the optical track "thingie" works a lot better. The signal bars now correspond to the actual signal I am getting with the phone. The phone doesn't reboot itself when traveling from one place to another and going through areas that have weak signals. I haven't done any measurements, but battery life seems to be as good as it was before (I have the extended 2150 battery and I routinely get at least a day and a half or two with moderate use of the phone), and it doesn't take any longer to charge up (~3 hours to go from 14% warning to green LED with the phone turned off). The phone seems to do a lot better remembering settings I have for various things. For example, when I turned off the power, charged the battery, and turned the phone back on before installing Froyo, sometimes I would lose the living wallpaper and default email account that had previously been selected. Since Froyo, that doesn't happen anymore. And, of course, there is the Droid voice and eye startup!

I have noticed switching to landscape and back seems to lag a little more. Other than that very happy.

I personally just switched from the Droid 1, and my Incredible had Froyo installed from the get-go. I also was quite familiar with Froyo because I'd had it on the Droid for some time...

That said, this is by far the most amazing device I've toted. I've been on all 4 major carriers within the past 6 years and have much experience with every platform: from "feature phones," to BlackBerry, to iPhone's 2G & 3G, to WinMo, to Palm OS, WebOS, etc! (You get the idea. Textbook tech junkie, right?)

This thing runs like silk lightning for me. My only complaint is, so far, so does the battery...

I'll hang in there, though, because I know a good thing when I see it and the underrated Incredible is NOT the "Forgettable" I once teased it as. LOL

I think performance is actually worse on 2.2 if a task killer is not used when really stressing the system, but I found a task killer that works well with Froyo so that's solved. My only real complaint now is that the stock music app and Pandora are no longer able to multitask with Google Navigator, I loved being able to have music playing in the background and then just get a brief interruption with directions then right back to the music, now when the Nav voice cuts in it puts the music into pause and it doesn't come back.

Phone is faster, battery life is slightly worse and longer to charge. Took ATK off months ago. Don't need Skype or Amazon. Waiting for validation of process to kill media manager pop-up when plugging in USB.

I have had no issues. I have lots of questions and would love a good how to on this update but the OS is fine for me. I love this phone and this OS platform.

Minor bugs

I also lost the function of Swype, but I simply reloaded it and now it working fine. I like the upgrade. Moving between screens is smoother and quicker, but I don't think it has helped the battery usage any.
