DInc Gingerbread update delayed

Blasphemer!

Hey I am rooted using that OTA from XDA that was first posted and other than low storage (fixed by moving the updated Angry Birds app to the SD card) no issues.

BTW what was the original way to root the DINC?

Damex...helped me but I forgot which site strictly for HTC/ Dinc owners

First method I remember was Unrevoked of some version...then Unrevoked 3 after the "software upgrade" in November.

Tony, Wanda's correct, Unrevoked is the current preferred root.

If you're talking about that Original root method that required proper timing of insertion and pulling of the SD Card during boot, while jumping on one leg and humming the theme from Hogan's Heros... I'm happy to say that Unrevoked saved me from that and I'm happy to say that those brain cells have been recovered for other uses. ;)

Yeah that is what I did was unrevoked. I was rooted in 15 minutes....

Everyone should forgo unrooting for the ota. the xda one is working great!!!!

Hey I just got an ota update notification for 2.3.4 that is 6.7MB in size.

I flashed the leaked gingerbread ruu and am not rooted. I have alogcat on and have searched for *.zip , and update but it cones up empty.
BTW, I have not applied the update yet either.
Also, in my file manager, I no longer have folders with a "." in front of the folder name. I wish I could find the dl location from logcat, but it really sticks I can't even find the update file! Of course , I'm not sure what this update is either.

I received the notification this morning for the update and I started to install it, but it was taking too long and I ran out of time so I had to cancel the update. I tried going into about phone to see if I could get it back and it says my phone is up to date. Will it show up again tomorrow or did I blow it?

Update: The update is rolling out as we speak, with some folks that have the update already posting pics of the 87MB of GB treats.
