DINC won't go back to stock

Ok so here's the problem I'm having. I'm trying to take my phone back to stock so I can send it into verizon. The charging port is broken, so there's not RUU option. I've flashed gingerbread, and have gotten back to s-on. Now, I've been following the guide (stickied) and once I get to the PB31IMG.zip flash step it won't do anything. I can't get rid of Clockwork, and the superuser icon is still present on the phone. Whenever I try to flash the zip (I've downloaded from multiple sources) it gets to the "checking" part and then goes back to the hboot main screen. What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to fix it? I'm on a time limit because I need to send it away by tomorrow night. Thanks for all the help.

just brick the phone. They are going to do a full restore from the bottom up before the make it a CLN replacement for someone....

Sounds like your SD card need to be reformated as FAT32. Then the PB31IMG should work.

I already tried reformatting it. That got me a step further in the process (it wasn't reading the image at first.. then it graduated to checking).
