Howdy,
So the Dinc2 is the first phone I've had with a GPS that I actually expected to work (my blackberry was so defective I didn't expect much by the end).
I've read about the N & S compass issues (being inverted), and I think I have that... but I didn't think this was expected overall functionality / accuracy of this thing.
It's been utterly useless driving in San Francisco with 30-60 second refresh times to catch up, by which time I've already gotten past the next turn...
my location on the latest google maps is hopping around between my location and usually a location +/- 4 miles away (I would assume it's jumping between cell towers), it's done this in three different parts of the county so far, so it's not just my house...and the accuracy is often within a ~ 600 meters, even after it's been online for like 20 minutes...not much of a 'lock' imho.
bottom line: Is this normal?
I honestly don't know if I should shut up and be happy that I have a shiny, otherwise mostly awesome phone, or if I should return it and try for another one via Amazon Wireless, my clock is ticking tho, so if anyone else has thoughts I'd be appreciative.
Not a very concise first post... I'll do better next one
Thanks,
-cc
