Gents,

Does anyone know how to or has anyone tried to download APKs directly from the Android Market?

I'm curious if anyone has done any 'packet sniffing' or has otherwise monitored how the APKs are requested from and then downloaded from the Android Market?

** I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT WAREZ OR PAID APPS **

In short, instead of going to the Android Market through a PC and selecting the application to download to your Android device or doing this from within your device, I'm looking to somehow access the Google Server and peruse their list of APKs?

Even if that isn't possible, just a simple 'Save As', 'Save Link As', 'Save Target As' that will call the '.apk' would be fine?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

BJ

well, the first place to start would be examining the page code. look at how it calls for the download. sometimes its a direct link, sometimes its via perl,etc.. then examining the scripting will eventually lead to the download directory structure. the trail is always there, you just have to look for it
