Direct dial contact

Does anyone know how to add a direct dial contact to the screen? Seems that the functionality of this widget has disappeared on this phone.

Welcome back! It looks like Samsung removed that widget, for no apparent reason.:-\ See this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s6/513943-add-direct-dial-shortcut.html. There's a suggestion in that thread for an app/widget that duplicates the direct dial function.
