Direct sunlight to camera lens.

So while messing around in pro mode I accidently moved my shutter the wrong way and took in a ton of sunlight for a few seconds... did that damege my sensor and if so I can I tell?

Unlikely, but you can try photographing either a full-white picture or a full-black one (just remember that for the white background you might have to adjust the WB settings). If you see any extreme discoloration or weird pixels, then the sensor is damaged... again, it's very unlikely, however, but if it was, chances are the damage would show up in the middle of the sensor.
