Hmm, Don't think it's new. Pretty sure I found that and turned it off when setting up my phone months ago. It's in camera settings under advanced.

Camera settings...advanced.....enabled by default

Yes, mine was enabled by default too. I'm leaving it that way.

It's new. It was added in the last camera update, ver: 5.2.022

I never looked for that setting.It is a good ideal and will leave it on .
But I always wiped my camera lens anyway before taking a pic , just out of habit.

I have had the phone since launch and never seen that option. I only saw the option to control the HDR+ toggle.
