Disable 3G connection permanently.

I just received my Optimus T and want to disable the 3G connection permanently so I don't get charged for data by accident. Does anyone know how to do this? I just plan to use WiFi with the phone. Thanks

Btw, what are some tweaks I could do with it to get the most out of the phone?

Why would you want to do that - Don't you have a certain amount of data to use per month with your data plan.

In the Wireless & Network settings, there's an option to enable/disable "Data access over Mobile network" but I'm not sure if that's enough to disable 3G connection. If anyone has more knowledge about this and can chime in I'll appreciate it.

As to the reason I want to do this is because I do not have the data plan ($10/mo for 200MB) and do not want to get charged for accidental usage.

And to rushrl....he probably doesn't have a data plan. I use mine on wifi exclusively as well.

Same here. No data just go to a WiFi hotspot & get what I want. Although I do not disable 3G & have had no "accidents".
