Disable auto update in moto g4 phone.

I'm hoping someone knows how to disable the automatic updates for the OS in the motorola moto g4. I don't want to update from 6.0.1 to 7.0 nougat. I've been reading that maybe it is causing issues with that phone. Anyone else know of this ?

I'm not familiar with this specific phone, but I know a lot of times you have to root the phone and make some system level changes to prevent automatic OS updates. It's also not without its risks, even potentially bricking your phone.

I can't root the phone. Just bought it and it would void the warranty. I know there is a way to do it. I saw something about it in one of the forums when also looking at how to disable notifications for app updates. Now I can't find it again.

Sending another message. My phone is unlocked. Do you know how I can avoid the nougat update or tell me if the latest version of nougat is stable ?
