Do Not Disturb is automatically turning itself on when I'm driving and riding as a passenger. I've had this phone since it came out and I've never had this issue before, but it's been doing this for the last week or so.

Going into settings and turning it off is only turning it off at that moment, but as soon as I'm back in the car it turns back on again.

How can I disable this permanently?

You must have Bixby Driving or Android Auto going on in the background when your phone detects Bluetooth in your car. Maybe Google Maps? I would check those settings.

Yea seems like there's a Routine setup which enables DND when you're in a car.
If you check and there is no such setting, you could try using Nice Catch to see what is turning on the DND feature.
If even that doesn't help, then submit error report to Samsung Members right after you notice the issue again.

Appreciate the replies.

The only Bixby routines I have set are for turning wifi on/off when I arrive at or leave home. I'm not even sure what Bixby Driving is.

I disabled Android Auto after your response, but that didn't help. (Side Note: Is AA not an actual app anymore? I have no app/icon to open it, but it's still listed under settings/apps. Is that normal now?)

Not sure if this is helpful, but here's the notification that pops up when it kicks in. Says it's a System UI thing...

try below steps:

1. settings > apps > three dots > special access > do not disturb permission > disable both google and google play services

2. settings > google (google services) > personal safety > disable silence notification while driving
