Disable Everything (Almost)

So I'm thinking of getting a Samsung S4 for Verizon, but am a bit concerned about all the advertised features. I'm looking for a clean and simple phone. I don't want the phone to pause video (or anything else) when I look away, and I don't want it doing anything when my hand is merely near, not touching the screen. Can these and other features be disabled (along with the various unneeded apps from Samsung and Verizon)? Thanks.

The menu options may be different from the S3, but the features are still very easy to de-activate.

I don't know if it was me and I wanted an awesome phone, but without all the S4 features, that I wouldn't consider the S3.

But yeah everything you don't want to use can be disabled under settings. If you decide to get it and need help just ask.

Best I can tell, the camera on the S4 is much better than the S3, and that's my interest in the later model, or I'd agree with you.

Yeah the camera is better and the screen is better and it has a better processor. It was enough of an upgrade for me go from the S3 to the S4. So I know how you feel.

I have disabled almost all the gimicky features and run Nova launcher on my S4. Going on 30 days and the phone has been flawless so far, no major hangups or issues. I has the S3 but prefer the S4....
