Disable Evo View 3G/4G Radios without Airplane mode

Well if you are willing to root your Evo View and you really don't plan on using the 3G/4G radios (like me you wanted a nice 32GB WiFi Tablet with cool pen technology and in black) then you too can Disable Radio And Use Wi-Fi On Any Android Device Without Airplane Mode

is there a way to shut these off without root? the only thing that annoys me is when i reset the device, it tries to activate when i start it back up

other than that, not a huge deal

I just use the "Mobile Data" toggle. I know it doesn't turn off the radios but I don't get any prompt to activate. Of course I haven't rebooted the device since the honeycomb update so I don't know if it will nag me but as stated above, that's not a big deal. It hasn't nagged me at all.

I just want to avoid having any battery drain associated with the 3G/4G radios and keep the system from trying to search for a signal. I do realize rooting is not for everyone, but for me I will be rooting and very likely going the custom ROM root.

As I posted in xda, just use airplane and turn on wifi, CDMA still remains off...

There's also an app called Network that lets you turn off the radios without using airplane mode.
