Disable Home LED by Schedule?

I'm brand new to Android, I just got the Optimus G Pro for work last week. I really like the phone so far, it's super fast and has some really great features. One thing I can't figure out is can we disable the home LED according to a schedule? I know there is a "Quiet time" feature but this doesn't seem to affect the LED. I like having the light blink when I have new emails and stuff but it's a little annoying in the middle of the night sitting next to my bed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Immediate workaround is to get a cheap thin case that keeps the screen off the table when placed face-down to prevent scratching and then place it face-down So the light doesn't show.

I know that's not terribly helpful, but that's what I do.

Well, I found that the wireless charger for my Nokia 920 works great with my Optimus G Pro. So I have the device, face up, charging next to my bed. It would be great to be able to disable the LED automatically. Hopefully we can figure this out.

Try covering phone with a small hand towel. That's what I do
:D

Well, I guess that could work but it's not the most elegant solution.

I was messing around with NFC Task Launcher and Power Toggles. Both seem to have the ability to toggle the LED light but I wasn't having much luck, anyone able to at least get these apps to turn off the LED? I have some blank NFC tags so it would be cool to be able to tap a tag before going to bed in order to shut off the LED.

Anyone have experience with Tasker or Light Flow? Tasker looks very powerful and Light Flow gets mixed reviews. Just wondering if someone else has had any success getting these to work with the Optimus G Pro before I spend a lot of time trying to figure things out.
