Is their away to disable messages on Android auto?

Nope. If the app has the proper code for AA, it's going to spit its messages into AA. I've yet to see one that gives an option to turn them off. (Would love to have someone tell me about one!)

What if you go into the permission setting for the Android Auto app and toggle SMS off?

That's what I thought to. I get a Honda civic 2016 this week and I hate my messages showing up but I know good has per missions set for each individual actio. You can control
