Disable Optimum Sign-In?

I am not an Optimum subscriber, but am constantly being asked to sign into their WI Fi network. Is there a way to disable this annoyance? I tried turning off WI FI, but that works only part of the time.

Any ideas? This is the most annoying thing that happens with my absolutely favorite phone (so far)!

Have you unchecked the notify me of open networks or hold on the network and choose forget this network?

It has been unchecked, but did not choose to forget. How do you do the latter, plz?

Go into WiFi long press the unwanted network and a pop up will give you the option to forget network or modify
