Disable password but not lockscreen?

On the stock htc rom I could disable password so it wouldn't show up until screen was off a few minutes. Now on this GPE rom, I can disable password but it also disables lockscreen. How can I keep my lockscreen while temporarily not requiring password?

Head back into settings> security> screen lock and select slide

Edit: misread you. Back in security unselect 'power button instantly locks' and set 'automatically lock' to desired time. Although for security reasons, I wouldn't suggest it.

Yes, but that gets rid of lockscreen. I want to be able to press the power button and when I turn screen on, lockscreen will still be there but I won't have to enter passcode.
