Last week, I went Vegas for holiday. After a full day of walking back and forth on the strip, my actives battery drain dramatically. I only get 18 hours stand by and 1 hour sot then with 20% left. When I am at work, where the phone mainly sit still, I can get 16 hours stand by and 6 hours sot with 4 emails sync and Android wear.

I was wondering when I walk with phone in my pocket, the pedometer or motion sensor is activated to monitor my steps. I have the health service, active zone and s health disable. Also, I disable all the motion and gestures in setting. So I have no idea where the drain is coming from. When I was using the S6 with root access, by using BBS I found the sensor process in huge use when the phone is not still. Unfortunately, the kernel developer said he can do nothing about disable the pedometer because all the senor was using the same process.

Anyone has the same issue like me?

Are you still having battery issues now or just when you were in Vegas? I have never noticed a difference in battery whether walking or sitting still.

I'm always good when at work. So only happened when I was in vegas. But when I was in Vegas, I'm walking like 10+ hours. I noticed battery drain much more when connected mobile network (3%/h) vs WIFI (1.5%/h). But nothing like that much even on hiking and skiing.

It was probably the mobile network. If you had a low signal or it was switching from LTE to 4G or 3G, it uses more battery. In addition, if there are alot of people, the network was probably bogged down causing degrated service.

Yeah. Maybe. On the other hand, my wife's iPhone only drops 1%/h which makes my jealous. We are on the same carrier and together all the time. I wish root come out on this phone. I will sacrifice Samsung pay for it.

Take a look at package disabler in the Play store, it lets you disable apps and services without needing root.
