Disable stock phone dialer?

I'm using truedialer in place of the stock phone app on my s6. I'm still receiving "missed call" notifications from the stock phone app as well as truedialer. I can't find a way to disable the stock phone app nor can I disable notifications. What can I do?

Does Settings>Sound & notification>App notifications>Dialer>Block (never show notifications from this app), work?

I looked there first...The stock dialer app doesn't show up under app notifications. I am also unable to disable or remove the stock app from the app/edit screen. So frustrating!

Whoa! It must be a Samsung thing. It's there on my Moto.
